Hi all, Looking for a way to get flash player to work in Linux Fedora 22. I have installed adobe flash player from adobe as an rpm and installed. Apart from that, I have read a solution is to install pepper flash for chrome. However I have not found a way to install this in Fedora. I see how it can. Install Adobe Flash Player 27 on Fedora 27/26/25/24, CentOS 7.4/6.9 and Red Hat (RHEL) 7.4/6.9. Verify that the Flash Player Plugin is working. One was installed with fedy, other was installed by command.

Hey all,
I wanted to share with you another installation guide for Fedora 22. Today I discovered Pipelight, it's a program that allows you to run the Windows version of Flash, and Silverlight within Linux web browsers. I've only used Firefox so far, but I'm sure with a little extra effort and research you may be able to get it working with Palemoon or other popular Linux browsers. I use Pipelight because as you may know, Adobe sucks and has abandoned Flash for Linux users. They're now only updating for security patches. So hopefully soon we won't need Flash anymore.
Here's how I installed: Dungeon lords manual pdf.
The Pipelight website doesn't yet show a Fedora 22 repository, however with a bit of searching I was pleasantly surprised that they do have a repo up despite what their website says:
Before installing Pipelight, you need pipelight-selinux. This is an SELinux policy for Pipelight. You can find the latest version here. For Fedora 22, you'll want to click on the one ending in 'fc22,' on the page you should find an RPM that looks something like 'pipelight-selinux-0.2.0-4.fc22.noarch.rpm,' (please check for the latest version though) click download and save it rather than running it through software center as you need to run it as sudoer, to do so, run these commands:
Navigate to the directory (It will most likely be Downloads. <user> is your username):
Install the package:
Go home:
Before installing there's another workaround I had to do in order to fully install without issues, according to a contributor of the project this step is not necessary, I had to sign in as root and create the directory /root/.gnupg/ for the 'non-certified' signing key that the package attempts to install. If you don't do this, you'll get a error that says something like 'failed to create temporary file '/root/.gnupg/ .. no such file or directory' This is because the sudoer doesn't even have access to read the root directory much less write to it, which is a good thing because that means Linux has our back. :) In this case, I decided to trust the creators of Pipelight. I wanted to make sure to have a full installation, so I was able to get rid of the error by allowing it to install the signing key, by creating the directory. To do so you can use these commands:
Login as root:
Create the directory:
Now install pipelight:
Update pipelight:

Install Steam On Fedora
I installed 64-bit flash as well:

For other plugins, check out the site.
Since Fedora uses SELinux, you'll also need to enable the plugins to run Firefox.
Upon launching Firefox, it should prompt with an installer. Now I did notice that it took me opening up Firefox and restarting, messing around a bit before it works, but after I restarted it, it 'magically' just worked. I watched a TV show on Netflix, and was able to play some Flash videos. The only bugs I noticed were that using the spacebar to pause Netflix didn't work, nor did F11 for fullscreen. I'll post again here if I figure that out.
Good luck all! :-) Movie mp3 files.
